Here is the trusty Wikipedia to give a definition on essential nutrients.
An essential nutrient is a nutrient required for normal human body function that either cannot be synthesized by the body at all, or cannot be synthesized in amounts adequate for good health (e.g. niacin, choline), and thus must be obtained from a dietary source.
The essential nutrients are necessary for the normal body functions, they provide the building blocks for growth, renewal, repairs and maintenance of the eleven organ systems of the body. There is a lot going on in the body at the molecular level that people generally are not aware. Especially if the person is preoccupied with laying on a couch, watching TV and chewing pop corn. In that context food i just a snack time for the current energy needs. The meaning of “Nutrition” in the true sense is out of sight, and out of mind.
The essential nutrients that either cannot be synthesized by the body at all, or cannot be synthesized in amounts adequate for good health, so then it is important to get all those essential nutrients necessary for normal body functions by consuming them. Playing sports is not a normal function, it is extra activity that requires extra essential nutrients. Because with sports the body sweats a lot and with sweat goes out minerals and vitamins. Other special dietary needs are also like pregnancy, that require extra essential nutrients to support the extra needs placed on the mother’s extra nutritional demands by the growth of the baby. There are many other other reasons why additional essential nutrients are needed for various reasons, see the links provided to information resources.

Why supplement essential nutrients question does mean different things to different people, firstly it makes good sense to take the time to consider how nutritionally balanced your daily diet is. Some people do have the luxury of having three meals prepared for them day after day, week after week, that in itself is a great opportunity for sharing and talking about the nutritional value of the food being prepared. But it is important to remember that the labor of love that food preparation for others is enormous, so the issue of nutrition should be brought in way that is not offensive. Children may take the food service that they receive for granted, even at time with attitude of in gratitude. The kitchen mission should be clear cut, it is a mission to bring nutrition and health to the peoples body, not always easy to get around the emotional whims and fixations on specific ingredients, dishes and take away restaurants but the easy road is to trust mother natures creativity and provision in providing fruit and vegetables in many colors and shapes and sizes.
The natural flavors of fruit and vegetables should be the bench mark when it comes to setting the imprint of flavors on the minds of children. Eat healthy and eat well for life. Learn more about Healthy Eye Vision from this link.
